Sometimes it feels like I only work on the last week of a given month, but March wasn’t one of those.
A 5-day jaunt through the midwest a few weeks ago sent me rolling back to Penn’s woods with $36 to my name. “That means you’ve got a lot of good stuff in the shop,” my pal Jim from Sarasota said.
It’s true. The shop was loaded and I hadn’t done a whole lot to move it, but waiting for dire straights is an established part of my process.
My ass kicked into gear when I realized I didn’t have enough to pay for a title notary I needed to get done, so I got to work with listing. Sales began to flow, starting with this 1960s Shasta travel trailer which, conveniently, was the most expensive item in our shop.
I swear I’ve got this kind of perverted luck where big problems solve themselves fast, but little problems seem to linger forever.
By some stroke of divine intervention (magic mushrooms) I managed to keep motivated through the Shasta windfall and succeeded in listing a ton of inventory this month. Sales trickled in from that too.

I made a pact with myself not to buy anything new until every item in the shop was listed, but when things started to move and coffers refilled I indulged in a few finds.

This is the first real post I’m making to our substack, but I had fun with it! I journal a lot so I figured I might as well make it public. More to come.
Until next time,
~ See ya!
